Morning Remembrance (Adhkar)
أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنْ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
اللّهُ لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لاَ تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلاَ نَوْمٌ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلاَ يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلاَّ بِمَا شَاء وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَلاَ يَؤُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ.
I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan.
Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.
Whoever recites it in the morning will be protected from the jinn until evening, and whoever recites it in the evening will be protected from the jinn until morning.
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيم
قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ، ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ، لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ، وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌۢ.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Say: He is Allah, [who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to Him any equivalent.
Whoever recites it morning and evening, it will suffice him against everything (Al-Ikhlas and the two Mu'awwidhatayn).
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيم
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ، مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ، وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ، وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّٰثَٰتِ فِى ٱلْعُقَدِ، وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, from the evil of that which He created, and from the evil of darkness when it settles, and from the evil of the blowers in knots, and from the evil of an envier when he envies.
Whoever recites it morning and evening, it will suffice him against everything (Al-Ikhlas and the two Mu'awwidhatayn).
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيم
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ، مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ، إِلَٰهِ ٱلنَّاسِ، مِن شَرِّ ٱلْوَسْوَاسِ ٱلْخَنَّاسِ، ٱلَّذِى يُوَسْوِسُ فِى صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ، مِنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, the Sovereign of mankind, the God of mankind, from the evil of the retreating whisperer - who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind - from among the jinn and mankind.
Whoever recites it morning and evening, it will suffice him against everything (Al-Ikhlas and the two Mu'awwidhatayn).
أَصْـبَحْنا وَأَصْـبَحَ المُـلْكُ لله وَالحَمدُ لله ، لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ وَحدَهُ لا شَريكَ لهُ، لهُ المُـلكُ ولهُ الحَمْـد، وهُوَ على كلّ شَيءٍ قدير ، رَبِّ أسْـأَلُـكَ خَـيرَ ما في هـذا اليوم وَخَـيرَ ما بَعْـدَه ، وَأَعـوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَـرِّ ما في هـذا اليوم وَشَرِّ ما بَعْـدَه، رَبِّ أَعـوذُبِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَـلِ وَسـوءِ الْكِـبَر ، رَبِّ أَعـوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَـذابٍ في النّـارِ وَعَـذابٍ في القَـبْر.
We have entered a new day and with it all dominion belongs to Allah, and all praise is for Allah. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner; to Him belongs all dominion and praise, and He is over all things omnipotent. My Lord, I ask You for the good of this day, its victory, its help, its light, its blessings and its guidance, and I seek refuge in You from the evil in it and the evil that follows it. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and senility. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from torment in the Fire and punishment in the grave.
اللّهـمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّـي لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْتَ ، خَلَقْتَنـي وَأَنا عَبْـدُك ، وَأَنا عَلـى عَهْـدِكَ وَوَعْـدِكَ ما اسْتَـطَعْـت ، أَعـوذُبِكَ مِنْ شَـرِّ ما صَنَـعْت ، أَبـوءُ لَـكَ بِنِعْـمَتِـكَ عَلَـيَّ وَأَبـوءُ بِذَنْـبي فَاغْفـِرْ لي فَإِنَّـهُ لا يَغْـفِرُ الذُّنـوبَ إِلاّ أَنْتَ .
O Allah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshipped except You, You created me and I am Your servant, and I abide by Your covenant and promise as best I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for verily none can forgive sin except You.
Whoever supplicates with it during the day with firm faith in it and dies on that day before evening comes, he will be from the people of Paradise. And whoever supplicates with it during the night with firm faith in it and dies before morning comes, he will be from the people of Paradise.
رَضيـتُ بِاللهِ رَبَّـاً وَبِالإسْلامِ ديـناً وَبِمُحَـمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَبِيّـاً.
I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion and with Muhammad (peace be upon him) as my Prophet.
Whoever recites it in the morning and in the evening, it becomes incumbent upon Allah to please him on the Day of Resurrection.
اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أَصْبَـحْتُ أُشْـهِدُك ، وَأُشْـهِدُ حَمَلَـةَ عَـرْشِـك ، وَمَلَائِكَتَكَ ، وَجَمـيعَ خَلْـقِك ، أَنَّـكَ أَنْـتَ اللهُ لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْـتَ وَحْـدَكَ لا شَريكَ لَـك ، وَأَنَّ ُ مُحَمّـداً عَبْـدُكَ وَرَسـولُـك.
O Allah, verily I have entered a new day and call on You, and on the bearers of Your Throne, and on Your angels and all of Your creation to bear witness that You are Allah, none has the right to be worshipped except You, alone, without partner, and that Muhammad is Your slave and Your Messenger.
Whoever says it, Allah will free him from the Fire.
اللّهُـمَّ ما أَصْبَـَحَ بي مِـنْ نِعْـمَةٍ أَو بِأَحَـدٍ مِـنْ خَلْـقِك ، فَمِـنْكَ وَحْـدَكَ لا شريكَ لَـك ، فَلَـكَ الْحَمْـدُ وَلَـكَ الشُّكْـر.
O Allah, whatever blessing has been received by me or by anyone of Your creation this morning is from You alone, without partner, so for You is all praise and unto You all thanks.
Whoever says this in the morning has discharged the thanks due for that day.
حَسْبِـيَ اللّهُ لا إلهَ إلاّ هُوَ عَلَـيهِ تَوَكَّـلتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ العَرْشِ العَظـيم.
Allah is sufficient for me. None has the right to be worshipped but Him. Upon Him I have placed my trust, and He is the Lord of the Magnificent Throne.
Whoever says it, Allah will suffice him against whatever grieves him of the affairs of this world and the Hereafter.
بِسـمِ اللهِ الذي لا يَضُـرُّ مَعَ اسمِـهِ شَيءٌ في الأرْضِ وَلا في السّمـاءِ وَهـوَ السّمـيعُ العَلـيم.
In the Name of Allah, with whose Name nothing on earth or in the heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Nothing will harm him.
اللّهُـمَّ بِكَ أَصْـبَحْنا وَبِكَ أَمْسَـينا ، وَبِكَ نَحْـيا وَبِكَ نَمُـوتُ وَإِلَـيْكَ النُّـشُور.
O Allah, by Your leave we have reached the morning and by Your leave we reach the evening, by Your leave we live and by Your leave we die, and unto You is the resurrection.
أَصْبَـحْـنا عَلَى فِطْرَةِ الإسْلاَمِ، وَعَلَى كَلِمَةِ الإِخْلاَصِ، وَعَلَى دِينِ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ أَبِينَا إبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفاً مُسْلِماً وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ المُشْرِكِينَ.
We have entered a new day upon the natural religion of Islam, the word of sincere devotion, the religion of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the faith of our father Ibrahim, who was upright (in worship) and a Muslim, and he was not one of the polytheists.
سُبْحـانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْـدِهِ عَدَدَ خَلْـقِه ، وَرِضـا نَفْسِـه ، وَزِنَـةَ عَـرْشِـه ، وَمِـدادَ كَلِمـاتِـه.
Glory is to Allah and praise is to Him, by the number of His creation, by His pleasure, by the weight of His Throne, and by the extent of His words.
اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في بَدَنـي ، اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في سَمْـعي ، اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في بَصَـري ، لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْـتَ.
O Allah, grant my body health. O Allah, grant my hearing health. O Allah, grant my sight health. None has the right to be worshipped except You.
اللّهُـمَّ إِنّـي أَعـوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكُـفر ، وَالفَـقْر ، وَأَعـوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذابِ القَـبْر ، لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْـتَ.
O Allah, I take refuge in You from disbelief and from poverty, and I take refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. None has the right to be worshipped except You.
اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أسْـأَلُـكَ العَـفْوَ وَالعـافِـيةَ في الدُّنْـيا وَالآخِـرَة ، اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أسْـأَلُـكَ العَـفْوَ وَالعـافِـيةَ في ديني وَدُنْـيايَ وَأهْـلي وَمالـي ، اللّهُـمَّ اسْتُـرْ عـوْراتي وَآمِـنْ رَوْعاتـي ، اللّهُـمَّ احْفَظْـني مِن بَـينِ يَدَيَّ وَمِن خَلْفـي وَعَن يَمـيني وَعَن شِمـالي ، وَمِن فَوْقـي ، وَأَعـوذُ بِعَظَمَـتِكَ أَن أُغْـتالَ مِن تَحْتـي.
O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this life and the next. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religious and worldly affairs, and my family and my wealth. O Allah, veil my weaknesses and set at ease my dismay. O Allah, guard me from before me and from behind me, and from my right and from my left, and from above me, and I take refuge in Your greatness from being taken unaware from beneath me.
يَا حَيُّ يَا قيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أسْتَغِيثُ أصْلِحْ لِي شَأنِي كُلَّهُ وَلاَ تَكِلْنِي إلَى نَفْسِي طَـرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ.
O Ever Living, O Self-Subsisting and Supporter of all, by Your mercy I seek assistance. Rectify for me all my affairs, and do not leave me to myself, even for the blink of an eye.
أَصْبَـحْـنا وَأَصْبَـحْ المُـلكُ للهِ رَبِّ العـالَمـين ، اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أسْـأَلُـكَ خَـيْرَ هـذا الـيَوْم ، فَـتْحَهُ ، وَنَصْـرَهُ ، وَنـورَهُ وَبَـرَكَتَـهُ ، وَهُـداهُ ، وَأَعـوذُ بِـكَ مِـنْ شَـرِّ ما فـيهِ وَشَـرِّ ما بَعْـدَه.
We have entered a new day and with it all the dominion which belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds. O Allah, I ask You for the good of this day: its triumph, its help, its light, its blessing and its guidance, and I seek refuge in You from the evil that is in it and the evil that comes after it.
اللّهُـمَّ عالِـمَ الغَـيْبِ وَالشّـهادَةِ فاطِـرَ السّماواتِ وَالأرْضِ رَبَّ كـلِّ شَـيءٍ وَمَليـكَه ، أَشْهَـدُ أَنْ لا إِلـهَ إِلاّ أَنْت ، أَعـوذُ بِكَ مِن شَـرِّ نَفْسـي وَمِن شَـرِّ الشَّيْـطانِ وَشِرْكِهِ ، وَأَنْ أَقْتَـرِفَ عَلـى نَفْسـي سوءاً أَوْ أَجُـرَّهُ إِلـى مُسْـلِم.
O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord and Sovereign of all things, I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my own soul and from the evil and shirk of Satan, and from bringing about wrong against myself or leading it to another Muslim.
أَعـوذُ بِكَلِمـاتِ اللّهِ التّـامّـاتِ مِنْ شَـرِّ ما خَلَـق.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَبَارِكْ على نَبِيِّنَا مُحمَّد.
O Allah, send prayers, peace and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad.
Whoever sends blessings upon me in the morning and in the evening will be reached by my intercession on the Day of Resurrection.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ أَنْ نُشْرِكَ بِكَ شَيْئًا نَعْلَمُهُ ، وَنَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِمَا لَا نَعْلَمُهُ.
O Allah, we seek refuge in You from associating anything with You knowingly, and we seek Your forgiveness for what we do not know.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ، وَقَهْرِ الرِّجَالِ.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, and I seek refuge in You from weakness and laziness, and I seek refuge in You from cowardice and miserliness, and I seek refuge in You from being overcome by debt and being overpowered by men.
أسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ العَظِيمَ الَّذِي لاَ إلَهَ إلاَّ هُوَ، الحَيُّ القَيُّومُ، وَأتُوبُ إلَيهِ.
I seek the forgiveness of Allah, the Mighty, whom there is none has the right to be worshipped but He, the Ever Living, the Sustainer of all that exists, and I turn to Him in repentance.
يَا رَبِّ , لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كَمَا يَنْبَغِي لِجَلَالِ وَجْهِكَ , وَلِعَظِيمِ سُلْطَانِكَ.
O Lord, all praise is Yours, as befits the glory of Your Face and the greatness of Your dominion.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and acceptable deeds.
اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنْتَ ، عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ ، وَأَنْتَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ , مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ كَانَ ، وَمَا لَمْ يَشَأْ لَمْ يَكُنْ ، وَلا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ , أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ، وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا , اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا ، إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ.
O Allah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshipped except You. Upon You I rely, and You are the Lord of the Magnificent Throne. What Allah wills happens, and what He does not will does not happen. There is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great. I know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah has encompassed all things in His knowledge. O Allah, I take refuge in You from the evil of myself, and from the evil of every moving creature which You take by its forelock. Indeed my Lord is upon a straight path.
A goodly remembrance.
لَا إلَه إلّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءِ قَدِيرِ.
None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is able to do all things.
Whoever says it 100 times in a day, it is as if he freed ten slaves, a hundred good deeds are recorded for him, a hundred bad deeds are erased from him, and it is a protection for him from Satan on that day until evening, and no one comes on that day with anything better than what he brought except one who did more than that.
سُبْحـانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْـدِهِ.
Glory is to Allah and praise is to Him.
His sins will be wiped away even if they are like the foam of the sea. No one will come on the Day of Resurrection with anything better than what he brought, except one who said the same as he said or added more to it.
أسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ وَأتُوبُ إلَيْهِ
I seek the forgiveness of Allah and I turn to Him in repentance.
A hundred good deeds are recorded for him, a hundred bad deeds are erased from him, and it is a protection for him from Satan until evening.
