The Virtue of Sending Blessings on the Prophet ﷺ

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيَّ صَلاَةً صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ بِهَا عَشْراً)).

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever sends one blessing upon me, Allah will send ten blessings upon him because of it."

وَقَالَ صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((لاَ تَجْعَلُوا قَبْرِي عِيداً وَصَلُّوا عَلَيَّ؛ فَإِنَّ صَلاَتَكُم تَبْلُغُنِي حَيْثُ كُنْتُمْ)).

And he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not make my grave a place of festive visits, and send blessings upon me, for your blessings reach me wherever you are."

وَقَالَ صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((الْبَخِيلُ مَنْ ذُكِرْتُ عِنْدَهُ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيَّ)).

And he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The miser is the one in whose presence I am mentioned, yet he does not send blessings upon me."

وَقَالَ صلى الله عليه وسلم:((إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَلاَئِكَةً سَيَّاحِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ يُبَلِّغُونِي مِنْ أُمَّتِي السَّلاَمَ)).

And he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah has angels who travel throughout the earth conveying to me the greetings of peace from my nation."

وَقَالَ صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيَّ إِلاَّ رَدَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيَّ رُوحِيَ حَتَّى أَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمَ)).

And he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no one who greets me with peace except that Allah returns my soul to me so that I may return his greeting."
