Remembrance for the Call to Prayer (Adhan)

يَقُولُ مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ المُؤَذِّنُ إِلاَّ فِي ((حَيَّ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَحَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ)) فَيقُولُ: ((لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ)).

He says the same as the caller to prayer (mu'adhdhin) says, except at Come to prayer and Come to success, where he says: There is no power and no strength except with Allah.

يَقُولُ: ((وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ، رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبَّاً، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولاً، وَبِالْإِسْلاَمِ دِينَاً)) ((يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ عَقِبَ تَشَهُّدِ الْمُؤَذِّنِ)).

He says: And I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, and that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Muhammad as my Messenger, and with Islam as my religion. (He says this after the mu'adhdhin's testimony of faith.)

((يُصَلِّي عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَعْدَ فَرَاغِهِ مِنْ إِجَابَةِ الْمُؤَذِّنِ)).

(He sends blessings upon the Prophet, peace be upon him, after finishing his response to the mu'adhdhin.)

يَقُولُ: ((اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ، وَالصَّلاَةِ الْقَائِمَةِ، آتِ مُحَمَّداً الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ، وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامَاً مَحمُوداً الَّذِي وَعَدْتَهُ، [إِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ])).

He says: O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and of the prayer to be established, grant Muhammad the wasilah (a station in Paradise) and superiority, and raise him to the praiseworthy station that You have promised him. [Indeed, You do not fail in Your promise.]

((يَدْعُو لِنَفسِهِ بَيْنَ الْأَذَانِ وَالْإِقَامَةِ فَإِنَّ الدُّعَاءَ حِينَئِذٍ لاَ يُرَدُّ)).

(He supplicates for himself between the adhan and the iqamah, for supplication at that time is not rejected.)
