The Virtue of Visiting the Sick

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When a man visits his sick Muslim brother, he walks amid the fruit-gardens of Paradise until he sits down; and when he sits down, mercy envelops him. If it is morning, seventy thousand angels send blessings upon him until evening, and if it is evening, seventy thousand angels send blessings upon him until morning.'
