Supplication for a Deceased Child in the Funeral Prayer

((اللَّهُمَّ أَعِذْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ القَبْرِ)) وإن قال: ((اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ فَرَطاً وَذُخْراً لِوَالِدَيْهِ، وَشَفِيعاً مُجَاباً، اللَّهُمَّ ثَقِّلْ بِهِ مَوَازِينَهُمَا، وَأَعْظِمْ بِهِ أُجورَهُمَا، وَأَلْحِقْهُ بِصَالِحِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، وَاجْعَلْهُ فِي كَفَالَةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَقِهِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ، وَأَبْدِلْهُ دَاراً خَيْراً مِنْ دَارِهِ، وَأَهْلاً خَيْراً مِنْ أَهْلِهِ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِأَسْلاَفِنَا، وَأَفْرَاطِنَا، وَمَنْ سَبَقَنَا بِالْإِيمَانِ)) إن قال ذلك فَحَسَنٌ.

O Allah, protect him from the punishment of the grave. And if one says: 'O Allah, make him a forerunner and a treasure for his parents, and an accepted intercessor. O Allah, make heavy through him their scales [of good deeds], and magnify through him their reward, and join him with the righteous believers, and place him in the care of [Prophet] Ibrahim, and by Your mercy protect him from the punishment of the Blazing Fire, and give him in exchange a home better than his home, and a family better than his family. O Allah, forgive our forefathers, and our children who have gone before us, and those who preceded us in faith' — if one says this, it is good.

((اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ لَنَا فَرَطاً، وَسَلَفاً، وَأَجْراً)).

O Allah, make him a forerunner for us, and a preceding reward, and a [source of] reward.
