Supplication Before Eating

((إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ طَعَاماً فَلْيَقُلْ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، فَإِنْ نَسِيَ فِي أَوَّلِهِ فَلْيَقُلْ بسمِ اللَّهِ فِي أَوَّلِهِ وَآخِرِهِ)).

When one of you eats food, let him say 'Bismillah' (In the name of Allah); and if he forgets to say it at the beginning, let him say 'Bismillahi fi awwalihi wa akhirihi' (In the name of Allah at the beginning and end of it).

((مَنْ أَطْعَمَهُ اللَّهُ الطَّعَامَ فَلْيَقُلْ: اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِيهِ وَأَطْعِمْنَا خَيْراً مِنْهُ، وَمَنْ سَقَاهُ اللَّهُ لَبَناً فَلْيَقُلْ اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِيهِ وَزِدْنَا مِنْهُ)).

Whoever is fed food by Allah should say: "O Allah, bless it for us and feed us with better than it." And whoever is given milk to drink by Allah should say: "O Allah, bless it for us and give us more of it."
