What to Say in a Gathering

((عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رضي الله عنه قَاَلَ: كَانَ يُعَدُّ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي الْمَجْلِسِ الوَاحِدِ مِائَةُ مَرَّةٍ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَقُومَ: ((رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي، وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الغَفُورُ)).

It is narrated from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: We used to count for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), before he stood up, a hundred times [saying]: "My Lord, forgive me and accept my repentance, for indeed You are the Ever-Relenting, the Most Forgiving."
